How to Apply Tape-in Hair Extensions?

    1. Section Your Hair:
Separate a part of your hair horizontally just above your ears. Ensure you select a neat section.
    2. Prepare the Tape Area:
Ensure the area where you’ll be applying the tape is free of conditioner, oils, or any product residue. The hair should be completely dry before applying the tape.
    3. Apply the First Tape-in Extension:
Tape one piece of the extension under the sectioned hair, about 1/4 inch from the scalp. Peel off the tape cover.
    4. Smooth the Tape Area:
Use a comb to gently comb through the tape area and ensure it lies flat.
    5. Apply the Second Tape Piece:
Take the second tape piece and press it firmly against the first piece.
    6. Secure the Extension:
Apply pressure with your fingers for 5-10 seconds, then lightly heat the tape area to ensure it bonds securely. This helps make the tape stick more firmly.
    7. Repeat for Full Head:
Continue applying tape-in extensions throughout your head, following the same steps.

    Important Notes:

    • The area where the tape is applied must be free of conditioner or any product that can interfere with the adhesive.
    • Ensure your hair is completely dry before applying the tape for the best bond.
    • After applying the tape, lightly heat the area to secure it firmly.
    • Avoid pulling or tugging on the extensions once applied to prevent loosening the tape.
    • When swimming, always wear a swim cap to protect your extensions.
    • Tape Replacement:
Tape-in extensions should be replaced every 6-8 weeks. If you have oily hair, you may need to replace the tape more frequently. Consider purchasing extra replacement tapes to stay prepared.

Hair Care Tips for Tape-in Extensions
    1. Brushing:

    • Always comb through your hair before shampooing to avoid tangles. Use a wide-tooth comb to gently detangle the hair, especially near the tape area.

    2. Washing:

    • Wet the hair in a downward motion, avoiding full shower pressure on the extensions.
    • Massage the scalp carefully, avoiding direct contact with the tape.
    • Use sulfate-free and alcohol-free shampoo to prevent tape damage.
    • Apply conditioner to the lengths, but avoid the root area and attachments.
    • If blow-drying, use a heat protector or leave-in moisturizer.

    3. Drying:

    • Pat the hair dry with a towel to remove excess water. Never rub the extensions.

    4. Styling:

    • Extensions can be straightened, curled, and restyled. Make sure the styling temperature is under 160°C to avoid damaging the tape.

    5. Sleeping:

    • Always sleep with dry hair. Consider using a sleep cap to protect your extensions while you sleep.

Note: Refrain from applying conditioner near the roots or the tape area to avoid loosening the bonds.

    How to Remove Tape-in Extensions?

    1. Apply Tape Remover:
Use a professional tape remover to break down the adhesive.
    2. Wait a Few Minutes:
Wait a few minutes for the remover to dissolve the tape’s adhesive.
    3. Gently Remove Extensions:
Once the adhesive loosens, carefully remove the extensions without pulling on your natural hair.
